Back in January, I had my entire website redesigned by Amandolin at Smeuse Studios.
She built the whole thing in under 8 hours. Custom layout, videos, photos, forms, everything. It looked incredible. She even recorded Loom tutorials so I could make simple edits on my own. She made it look effortless.
So naturally, I thought: how hard could it be?
I blocked four hours on my calendar to make a few updates. Small stuff. Nothing major.
Eight hours later, I had not finished a single edit.
I sat there staring at my screen, equal parts humbled and frustrated, and then it hit me: this is exactly what my clients feel when they try to plan their own trip.
Amandolin has spent years mastering website design. She knows the shortcuts, the tools, the logic behind why things work. What took her an hour took me an entire day, and when I finally got something to look the way I wanted, it was obvious. Anyone could tell just by looking at it that it did not belong.
So I did what any reasonable person would do. I reached out and asked her to fix it.
When you start Googling flights, comparing hotel categories, reading through resort fine print, and trying to piece together an itinerary that actually flows, you are doing the work of someone who does this every single day. You can absolutely do it. But it will cost you time, energy, and usually a few wrong turns along the way.
Booking the cheaper flight with the tight layover seems like a smart move until you miss the connection. Now you are scrambling at the gate, your hotel check-in is gone, and the first day of your trip is spent in an airport instead of at the pool. That “savings” just cost you a full vacation day, last-minute rebooking fees, and a lot of stress you did not sign up for.
I see this more than you would think. A resort booked in the wrong location. A tour that does not match the group. A honeymoon suite that is actually a standard room with a view of the parking lot. Small details that look fine on a booking screen but feel very different in person.
That is what I do for my clients. I handle the research, the logistics, the details they did not know to ask about, and the backup plan when something does not go as expected. Not because they could not figure it out, but because their time and peace of mind are worth more than that.
You hire a professional because they can do in two hours what takes you two days, and because they know what to look for before it becomes a problem.
That is the whole point.
